Donald Trump For Supreme
Riding the wave of his 48-hour art show in Japan back in August, property-mutilating artist Kidult is giving away free t-shirts on the Internets. The t-shirt giveaway, which will feature his trademark wheat paste of Donald Trump in a Supreme advertisement, is part of Kidult's 'Pax Americana' project, a multifaceted satirical critique of consumerism and power. The piece of Trump in Supreme gear is a direct send-up of the disastrous Morrissey campaign from back in February. Morrissey, the strange frontman of defunct band The Smiths, publicly denounced Supreme as soon as they released their ad campaign with his likeness.
Free t-shirts is definitely one way to make a point about consumerism - although we'd all appreciate if Kidult maybe gave us a write up explaining what exactly that point is. It's unclear when this promotional campaign of gratuity will begin, but we suggest you stay tuned on Kidult's twitter and website in the meantime.
