Death Of A Ladies' Man
It is with deep sadness we report the passing of Leonard Cohen at the age of 82 years old. Born in Montreal, Cohen started off his career as a poet before shifting to songwriting after he felt his written poetry couldn't sell. The songs he wrote became favorites of some of America's most acclaimed singer-songwriters, including Bob Dylan and James Taylor.
One of Cohen's most revered book of poetry is called "Flower For Hitler," published in 1964, which gives us some insight into the tragedy that this icon passed away a few days after the election of Donald Trump.
Leonard Cohen's last LP You Want It Darker was released less than one month ago. Listen below to the album's title track, and watch a performance of Cohen's most widely known song "Hallelujah." It's been sung countless times in occasions of mourning, and today it has a new grave significance. RIP Leonard Cohen
